In this case there are two separate sewer systems – the contaminated water collector which leads to the sewage plant – and the rainwater collector which conducts rainwater (from roofs and storm drains) directly into the receiving water course.

This means that no dirty water reaches the receiving water course (if connected correctly).

The advantage is that the sewage plant is loaded uniformly (no rainwater) and no rainwater treatment is necessary when it rains.

Qualified separate system:

Only the dirty water sewer is constructed – any precipitation which occurs seeps away directly in situ or is conducted quickly to the nearest ditch / receiving water course.
